This photo of the week presents two different views…one in color and one in black and white..taken from almost the same vantage point. As you know I have been dabbling in color these says to and present these two different views for your opinion.
It was taken at Red Lake, Illinois this past August. It’s a scene of a setting sun reflecting on the water…and in the color version, almost from the same angle.
The boat is waiting for the fisherman to appear the next morning…which he did. Which one do you like best…the color or the black & white? Let me know.

Award winning photographer, Franklin (Frank) Brueske, is originally from Southeastern Minnesota. He became interested in photography while in elementary school and purchased his first camera from a rural community drug store when he was is the sixth grade. It took 127 film, was fixed focus, but had sun and cloud adjustments. He still has that camera today. More about Frank

Great Photos Frank…I like the colored one best because I think it captured the sunset better than B/W. It reminds me of Summer Sunsets on Spider Lake, Nevis MN. where I used to live. A peaceful, serene way to end the day. I miss living on the Lake. I guess I should just be thankful that I did at one time….
Black 7 White, Frank did catch any fish the next day????
