The Photo of the Week is another example of the life in the French Quarter in New Orleans. Captured on our last visit there this winter, it provides an enthusiastic view of not only the musicians but also the visitors who gather around whenever a musical group springs up and starts to play in the street.
Take a good look at the activities of all the observers. Can you spot yourself there? The question is, “Would you like to be there?” This the real heart of the French Quarter. There are at least three individuals taking photographs of the scene. Can you find them?
The real action is taking the photograph from behind the scene and putting the musicians in the foreground and capturing the actions of the visitors surrounding them. Of course there is more detail if you could view this in a larger size photograph.
This photograph was taken late in the afternoon in a mostly shaded area in January, 2011. These are fun scenes to capture.
