Sign Painter

This Missouri “sign Painter” captures the photo of the week spotlight. Many of the smaller river towns along the Mississippi have used the sides of their old buildings for very neat murals. Louisana, MO is one of the cities. I do not know how many murals they have in the city, three our four at least. This was one I captured this past autumn while taking photographs long the Mississippi. It is a good thing the painter is part of the mural or he would be heading for quite a tumble. Maybe he is taking a spill as the frog is leaping to get out of his way. Note the old looking street light in the background. The angle of the photograph adds emphasis to the painter.

Frank:
I always enjoy looking at your work, it is inspiring. I went to Guatemala in March, where I visited with some of the low income Mayan families we sponsor down there. A truly rewarding and also motivating experience. Judy and I are plannning to go down to Honduras and Guatemala in November, if I recover in time from a recent scooter accident. My scooter had a flat tire as I was driving 55 MPH, so I now have a lot of scapes and burns, 10 staples in my head and 9 broken ribs, so I am really hurting. I go back to Regions Hospital tomorrow for a follow-up exam, and then on Tuesday for skin grafts on my right leg and arm. The latest prognosis is that n 2 months I should be well on the way to recovery. We hope you and Rose have stayed well, until now we have been very fortunate. w/ Best Regards Morris
