Night Bridge on The Mississippi

This photo of the week is from my scenes of the Mississippi that have not made their way to the gallery yet. I am not quite sure which it is…I think it is at Burlington, Iowa. I enjoy taking night scenes but have not been taking many lately. They have a real serene presence of their own. I will devote a blog to night photos in the very near future. The spotlights on the bridge bring out the design in a very dramatic way.

This is one of several photos that I took of the bridge, but I liked this one best. It was taken around 10 p.m. I cropped out a bit of the shoreline in the original photo because it was lighter and distracted from the bridge.
