New Orleans Street Art

I begin the new year with a photograph from the end of 2009, the art work of a street artist on the edge of the French Quarter. It was near dusk when this scene was captured and the very brilliant colors in the paintings jump out at you from the dark background of vegetation. There is an empty artist’s chair in the scene because he refused to be included. However, it still made a very exciting black and white photograph.

It is my intent to show a different photograph every week in this spot. However, I did not follow through very well last year. I will try to do better in 2010.
