The photo of the week is a photograph of a stack of lobster traps at Marathon, FL on the Florida Keys. The pattern of the stacked traps and the barnacles on them caught my eye. They leave an interesting vertical design design in light and dark. This stack was just one of many hundreds of traps that were being stored at this location. Photo taken 2010 on a recent trip to the keys.

Award winning photographer, Franklin (Frank) Brueske, is originally from Southeastern Minnesota. He became interested in photography while in elementary school and purchased his first camera from a rural community drug store when he was is the sixth grade. It took 127 film, was fixed focus, but had sun and cloud adjustments. He still has that camera today. More about Frank
