The photo of The week brings back memories of our days in Northern Illinois. This photo was taken in our backyard 7-8 years ago after a heavy wet snowfall. Nice to look at but not nice if it is cold and windy out. I am showing this in both black and white and color…take your pick of which one you like best.

Frank Brueske
Award winning photographer, Franklin (Frank) Brueske, is originally from Southeastern Minnesota. He became interested in photography while in elementary school and purchased his first camera from a rural community drug store when he was is the sixth grade. It took 127 film, was fixed focus, but had sun and cloud adjustments. He still has that camera today. More about Frank

Frank, these pictures are absolutely gorgeous. We received your Christmas card and Mary Ellen has been in awe ever since it came. That picture of those old crumply hands on her Bible reminded her so much of her grandmother and her own mother. That Christmas card has truly meant so very much to her. Merry Christmas to you and Rose.
Frank, I remember that back yard so well, What a beautiful scene. We had so many good times at your house Terry and I will NEVER forget those enormous Christmas trees you had, Every now and then we say “look, there goes a Bruske tree”.
